Financial Advice

Holistic financial planning that looks at your complete picture — savings, pensions, investments, property, debts, and goals — to build a plan that genuinely works for your life and evolves as your circumstances change.

When is financial advice most valuable?

Financial advice isn't just for the wealthy. There are key moments in life when professional guidance can make a significant difference to your financial wellbeing:

Accumulating wealth

You're earning well and want to make your money work harder — through pensions, ISAs, and investments. We'll build a tax-efficient strategy to grow your wealth over time.

Simplifying your finances

Multiple pension pots, old investments, and legacy products cluttering your financial life. We'll review everything, consolidate where appropriate, and create a clear, efficient structure.

Approaching retirement

How much can you afford to retire on? When can you stop working? Should you take an annuity or drawdown? We'll model the scenarios and give you clarity.

Going through divorce

Pensions are often the second largest asset after the family home. We provide expert valuation and guidance on pension sharing orders during divorce proceedings.

Receiving an inheritance

A sudden windfall needs careful management. We'll help you invest wisely, consider the tax implications, and integrate the inheritance into your overall financial plan.

Running a company

Company directors have unique opportunities — pension contributions as a business expense, salary vs. dividend strategies, and business protection. We specialise in advising directors and business owners.

Research and analysis

We gather your financial information, analyse your current position, and research the entire market for the most suitable solutions.

3

Recommendations

We present our recommendations in plain English, explaining why we've chosen each option and how it fits into your overall plan. You decide whether to proceed.

4

Implementation and ongoing support

We handle all the paperwork and administration. For ongoing clients, we review your plan regularly and adjust it as your life and the markets evolve.

Frequently asked questions

Is financial advice really worth it?
Research consistently shows that people who take professional financial advice accumulate significantly more wealth over time than those who don't. Good advice can help you avoid costly mistakes, take advantage of tax reliefs, and make informed decisions at key life moments.
What does the initial consultation involve?
We'll discuss your current financial position, your goals, and any concerns you have. We'll explain how we work, what it would cost, and whether we think our advice would add value. There's no obligation and no charge for this meeting.
How much does financial advice cost?
Our initial advice fee is typically 1-3% of the amount invested, depending on complexity. For ongoing advice and annual reviews, we typically charge 0.5-1% per annum. We'll always agree fees with you before any work begins.
What qualifications do your advisers hold?
Our financial advisers hold a minimum of the Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS). Our principal, Edwin Snapper, is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS) and a Chartered Financial Planner — one of the highest qualifications in the profession.
